After completing my tenth standard, we moved to Delhi, where I joined Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. While there, I came across one of my Gurus Vinod Kumar ji, who helped me conquer my fear of Hindustani Classical Music to a great extent. He was the younger brother of Shri Vinay Chandra Maudgalya, the Principal of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. A few years later, I heard he had passed on. I think I was destined to be under his guidance, even though briefly.
While at Gandharva, I completed ‘Visharad Pratham’, through the affiliation with Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Soon after, I left for XLRI Jamshedpur for my post Graduation. That was my first taste of hostel life.
