“Guru bin gyaan nahin koi paave” No bigger truth than that!
One of my biggest blessings has been to be accepted by Gurus who were not only very eminent, but also very large-hearted. In Mumbai, after I quit my Corporate job to pursue music, I found Dr Sushila Rani Patel (doyenne of Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana) who accepted me as her disciple and showered me with her love and ‘aashirwad’. For a few years, I also learnt under Smt Dhanashree Pandit Rai, a leading Thumri exponent.Over the last 9 years, I have been under the guidance of Guruji, Shri Dayal Thakur. If there is anything truly meditative for me, it is my weekly lessons with Guruji
